Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025 — photos & compte-rendu
Just returned from my fourth Goodwood FoS and once again it exceeded expectations. Key moments: • The Mercedes-AMG One hillclimb run — Maro Engel going FLAT out past the house in that F1-engined monster. The sound is absolutely unearthly. • A 1966 Ford GT40 driven by a man who must have been 75, going up the hill quicker than I expected. Respect. • The Pagani Utopia static display up close — photographed it for 20 minutes. Every panel, every screw is art. • Rain on Saturday turned the hill into a spectacle of opposite-lock heroics. For those who haven't been: it's NOT just a car show. It's a living, driving, ear-splitting celebration of everything automotive. Book early for 2026.
Charlotte, la photo de la Pagani Utopia que tu dois avoir dû valoir le détour à elle seule. La densité de détail de cette voiture est proprement hallucinante — chaque pièce semble faire partie d'un projet horloger plutôt que d'une voiture. Goodwood 2026 est dans mon agenda depuis décembre.
The Goodwood hillclimb run from the AMG One in the wet was one of the most visceral automotive experiences I've watched on a screen. The V6 F1 hybrid at full deployment sounds like nothing else. It sounds like a formula car because it IS a formula car engine. If you can get a Sunday Ticket (hill running only, not the full event), the atmosphere on the hill itself is intimate and extraordinary.
J'y suis allée pour la première fois cette année avec mon mari et nos deux enfants. Ce que j'ai adoré : l'aspect accessible. Les voitures ne sont pas derrière des barrières — vous pouvez vous approcher à 1 mètre d'une Bugatti Bolide dans le paddock. Les enfants ont adoré. Les noms des pilotes légendaires, les sons, les odeurs d'huile et d'essence. C'est une transmission de passion.
