Why is nobody talking about how quiet these new 2026 F1 cars sound?
Watched my first race trackside this season rather than on TV and the sound difference from the old cars is honestly the thing that struck me most, more than the DRS-to-Override change even. With the MGU-H gone but electrical deployment tripled overall, there's a different, more layered engine note than I expected — less pure scream, more of a modulated surge. It's not unpleasant, just genuinely different, and I haven't seen much discussion of it compared to all the strategy and points talk. Anyone else who's heard the 2026 cars live had a strong reaction either way?
