Silverstone: Leclerc finally breaks his year-long drought as Antonelli's engine lets go while leading

Leclerc converted pole pressure from Antonelli into a lights-to-flag-adjacent win at Silverstone — his first victory in over a year, and it came at the perfect moment given how the last couple of Ferrari-Mercedes weekends have gone. The story of the race for me though is Antonelli. On pole, leading comfortably, and then a mechanical failure takes it all away late on. First real chink in an otherwise flawless campaign. Russell salvaged second after the race finished under safety car, Hamilton rounded out the podium. Great weekend to have been a home fan at Silverstone by the sound of it.
